haha, it was more like dutch with a 'tsch' sound.
But ya dutch and afrikaans are somewhat the same ...
lol yes, the similarities are close enough Afrikaans originated from the Dutch settlers so that's why it's so close. Pity they don't really teach foreign languages in our schools, we only get afrikaans and xhosa. I wish I'd learnt french, i love the way it sounds ^^
