Who is better?

I have yamamoto and i am wondering if it is worth it to replace him with beserk renji

i myself use a yama but i see far more use in a b.renji than yama (atleast befoer the exclusive skill is unlocked)

Well, Brenji is top for PVE, while yama is suited for PVP. I'm using both for their respective prime uses. I loved to use breji in PVP as well, but even if his skill might insta-kill the 2 targets he hits, I'm usually doing better with Yama against stronger opponents (even tho I gave him less ex-frags than Brenji). Even if yama has lower atk power, since he hits AoE and has additional debuffs, he makes up for the damage in PVP. Brenji might work well in battles that are not much of a big deal, but in very close cases, yama might make the decisive difference.
But I'd never get the idea to use yama over Brenji in PVE. so I'm clearly saying: use them both.

Side note: I noticed lotta ppl are using Brenji in PVP only for his death skill. I'm far from being there yet, but personally, I wouldn't put a aprtner in fomration to sacrifice them only for their death skill.
2nd side note: Brenji still brought me through the last battles of King of Hollow Souls (especially the 1v1 battles).

some of the peeps that use brenji in pvp are doin so cuz he also can 1shot a vg if he survives so brenji in most cases will 1shot the targets he attacks

Yeah, I know, my brenji 1-shots most of the targets too. But you're/I'm screwed if he targets the wrong partners and leaves the dangerous ones alive. He usually won't target the vanguard if the rest of the team is standing, so IMO he's better off as the secondary DD in pvp  instead of main DD.
