The Kido Attack or Physical Attack would be the best besides speed.  I would avoid any with damage rate until you get the all of the others with the main stat first, since the damage rate % is so small.

makes me sad I've neglected them the last few months...  didn't see a big return on that silver...  guess I can start putting it back into it now that my production is up...   also, are the perfect hogus that much better than the ultimate (red vs gold in case i got the names wrong)

The difference between gold and red is 200 stat per level for the single stat hogyokus with Kido Attack or Speed.

hmmmm   so my Shinso has a level 24 gold speed hogu... 21,500 speed bonus from it...
if it were red, level 24...  +200/level  4800 extra speed....  26.300 speed from a level 24 perfect...

I'm just not 100% sure that is worth it over a dual purpose one if you already have a gold one by looking at these numbers...

Level 10 for single stats like Speed/Kido Attack/Physical Attack hogyokus would give 9000(gold) and 11000(red).  The single stat Kido Defense/Physical Defense give 630(gold) and 800(red) per level.
