Yes as you only need 10 gold to become a VIP1 so you'll eventually become a VIP in your firs top-up.
Your VIP level would depend on the accumulation of gold you would top up.

you just power boosted your main you did it on 3 chars and the only place i see you shine at is arena thats seeing that its not really good stratagy since arena is a very small part of that game...

LOL so whre did u shine? in palace?in tower?in event ryoka? in spirit? protect?why did u  do all of  that if u dont want to shine in arena? what is your goal on playing this game? to shine in events?what are u happy doing PVE only?
coz if u ask me im doing all of this to shine in arena to show that even non VIP w/ low BP can beat Vips w/ over 100k BP w/ out spending even 1 dollar, so if your doing this coz u love PVE only then good for u be happy to shine in events ^_^ but wait i didnt even see u shine on events since thre are too many OP VIPS in our server,so what good in your strategy? clearing palace 1st but i dont even see you in shura,kengu or trainee?

for a non VIP to get on this rank by luck after merge and i know i wont stay here for few hours  atleast i taste the feeling of being in top 10

I like the title 'honorable non vip'. Being vip or not is upto you. If you want to spend a ton of money to get event patners and zanpakutous that's another story but its too late for you to take vip benefits. And what does the rank matters? Forget about the ranks and take fun, you are not the only free player.

in my time ryoka and guild wars are like 4 in morning so unless i go with friends on friday and come back home at that hour i dont get in it..... and yes i love pve not ryoka and all that i love hollow map/dojo and all those + im lvl 88 and still fight the same lvl as your 2 other chars and yes maybe vip kick my ass some time but you speak on those lvl 100+ and btw i was ranked 9 on 1 time after merge... so yea being top 10 i done it too and at lower lvl.....
