What is the advanced modify frag in tavern?

Well thts pretty much my question in the title, I'm talking bout the thing in the lvl 90 plus tavern

It's for Advanced Modify where your replace a mod on your partner with another one.

you spend gold reishi on them to buy things, the frags help you change a mod on a partner, like if you dont want speed on your van you can change it to block with enough frags and coupons.the other one is red reishi which is used to upgrade a tavern partners base stats from purple to gold or gold to red status.

Does this apply to event chars as well for example can I change the yama mods to more crit chance or damage XD

Yes you can change mods on all characters. Each "roll" costs 20 frags and 20 coupons. You select the mod you want to change and roll. Once you get the stat you want (if you hover over it there's a list of what's possible) Then you lock the stat. Then you you roll to change the number on it (like from 2% block to 11% block) once you get what you like just stop there.
