Saving Prestige -- Mistake for 3rd Division Lieutenant?

I actually was wondering this as well the other day, so luckily I have a answer for this question - how do you gain 25k Prestige in a day to retain your Mugetsu rank?

#1 Arena Chest (keep in mind the Rank of Mugetsu is designed for the #1 player on server really)
x5 Beauty Game (must land every skill shot on the bar within the "perfect" / red zone)
Daily Offering in CSB (the silver costing one is fine)
Win all of your Arena combat chances (should be easy if your #1)

And finally, the missing piece that no one mentioned that puts you just over the 25k mark (without spending gold) - The 11th chest reward in the Soul Seireitei Palace (gives 1000 prestige), which by the time you've earned enough Prestige for Mugetsu you'll likely be this far in the Soul Palace or close to it.

Beauty Game - 1,500ish
Arena Wins - 3,000
Arena Chest - 20,000
Soul Palace Chest - 1,000
CSB Silver Offering - 500
------------------------------------
= 26,000 Daily Prestige

If you accomplish all of that (which costs no gold) then you earn just over 25,000 in one day. Now two things to keep in mind, every 3 days you earn bonus Beauty chances, which will help you get "ahead" more, and in the event that you suck at the Beauty game, or you do not want to use your Soul Palace Chest reward you can also spend gold at the CSB Daily Offering for a high prestige reward.

So it is quite possible to earn 25k prestige in one day (without spending gold/coupons), its actually possible to earn 28,500 a day if you spend gold on max CSB offering/get your bonus beauty chances that day. Although I don't recommend saving for the title, just to be clear - even if you earn 26,000 per day (no gold spending) and earn the extra beauty chances twice a week, it is going to take you just over 80 weeks to accomplish this (with say a starting point of the last rank that doesn't deduct prestige (5th Div Lt.). And that is assuming you never miss a single day of logging in...for...80+ (eighty) weeks (not days). So in a perfect scenario, 560 days (over 1.5 years), in a realistic scenario it would take you well over 2 years. In those 2 years time you could easily continue to upgrade rank and likely achieve somewhere between Arrancar Leader / King of Hueco Mundo, and you'll benefit daily in combat from your upgrade stats, not to mention the aproximate 1,460,000 souls and 383,250,000 silver you'd miss out on (1.5 million souls/nearly 400 million silver) - so again, I wouldn't recommend this strategy of saving for Mugetsu.

Mostly just wait another day or 2 even if you can lvl to mugetsu, correct me if i'm wrong, gonna stop at the 3rd division tiitle, then save like a pig prestige till mugetu

You and others are correct that it's probably only meant for the #1 player.
I believe the #2 spot gives 16,000 souls, and that's just enough for King of Heuco Mundo

How did you come to the 1.4million soul loss, and 400mil silver loss?

At King of Heuco Mundo, you gain:
740k silver, 2300 souls
vs
5th liet.
300k silver 1700 souls

a difference of 300k and 600 souls, and that's the MAX difference.

So at around 400 days to get to King of Heuco Mundo, lets say you collect the difference every day for the sake of easier math:
400 days * 300,000 silver
400 days * 600 souls

You'd only miss out on 120m silver, and 240,000 souls

This number is actually a lot smaller, because I'm using the Max difference.


There will also be a point where you simply stop gaining prestige due to the daily deduction.
For me that would be around King of Heuco Mundo / Arrancar leader, because that's -14,000 / -10,000 prestige daily.
I know you gain a bit more silver and a bit more soul each upgrade rank, but if you've stepped past 5th lieutenant it'll actually take you twice as long to achieve that title.

Why would it take you twice as long?
Say you gain 13,000 prestige a day.
10,000 arena + 3,000 from winning all fights.

ie: 5th captain -> 4th lieut
that requires 120,000 prestige
Saving Pestige: 120,000 / 13,000 = 9.23
On a gain of 13,000 prestige a day, that will take roughly 9-10 days.
Now lets factor in a -5,000 prestige a day from being 5th captain.
Not Saving: 120,000 / 8,000 = 15
Now that will actually take you 15 days.

Now lets move up another rank.
4th lieut -> 4th captain
that's 140,000 prestige
Saving: 140000 / 13000 = 10.77
That's 10-11 days, now lets factor in -5,000 prestige a day
Not Saving: 140000 / 8000 = 17.5
That's about 17.5 days

Here's where it gets fun
4th capt -> 3rd liet
230,000 prestige
daily is now -6,000
Saving: 230,000 / 13,000 = 17.69 days
Not Saving: 23,000 / 7,000 = 32.85 days

So by the time you get to 4th capt+ the time it takes is already ~twice as long.

The immune buff is great, but is it worth doubling your time?Also, once you've upgraded to 5th Capt+, you can kind of says that you've just signed the agreement that you'll never achieve the Mugetsu Title from Achievements.

Why?
Say you somehow got to Soul King without stopping at 5th Liet
And are rank #1 in Arena, max beauty, max csb 3k, win 3k arena

Max you can gain is 28,500 prestige @ the cost of 500g a day
Now subtract the daily deduction of 20,000 prestige for Soul King
Your daily gain is 8,500.

It takes 600,000 prestige to upgrade from Soul King to Mugetsu
600,000 / 8,500 = 70.58 days
That's going to cost you: 71 * 500g = 35,500 gold as well
So maybe you won't max the csb offering

So you don't gain that 3,000 prestige.
Now your daily gain is 5,500 prestige.
600,000 / 5,500 = 109.09 days
Dang.  That's a lot of days as #1 of your servers Arena
