compared to tavern partners, most everyone on the list is a banger for sure...   you want a "good partner" as you call them, top up, spend $1000 USD+ on them, get a good partner by all means...  however if you don't want to/can't spend $1000 on a partner, UBP is a fantastic event for great partners that you don't have to pay for...   it's called perspective, get some

Really , it can get out of hand at some points for those affected
It also creates a horrible perspective on those messing around
Great example being that person who said Muken was bad and that they wouldn't obtain him
Generally most people can't see this unless it's someone they're familiar with or a friend with
