Gerard (Valkyrie) or Bankai Kenpachi

So I have been planning to top up 40k on ultimate charge and it happens to be in the next events with Gerard.
I plan on using the gold to buy Hash at some point.
My current team is SD Toshiro, Raijin (replaced by Hash), Bankai Yama (replaced by muken eventually), and Bankai Kenpachi with Ryujin as my zamp.
So im not really sure on who I would use Gerard or Bankai Kenpachi.
I would like to know what everyone thoughts are in this matter.

If you can attack first, Bankai Kenpachi is really good.

I forget, are you Koz?? Tbh, your team currently is a very high damage dealing team and everyone in your cross-server area has no chance of seriously injuring your partners. So I would focus on improving your Ban Ken so you can do more damage in void. Getting Gerard would mostly be for defense purposes, but your team right now is all attack and CC. Also, Gerard's skill would overwrite RJ's defense buff, so I don't think that would be very good.  

BanKen also has the easier Bond, while you gotta spend more to get Gerard bonds.

All in all, sticking with BanKen seems to be the best choice. Save that 40k for another OP partner, Hasch probably.

But if you still decide to go through with it at least get the newest stuff in a couple of weeks/months.

cuz I was thinking maybe ill wait a bit and top up in a better uc or event

Yes.

UC and Bargain Sale are still the best events to top up in, if you don't get sniped. Just don't bother getting "old" partners when new and better stuff releases every month.
