I'v used it too, the problem of ubuntu is that ubuntu needs a lot of resources like windows. seems I have to test it myself. anyway, did you like ubuntu?

This game takes pretty much of ram anyway. It doesn't really depend on OS you use...
Having 1 gb of ram you'd probably be able to enter the game:

yes this game uses 1g ram otherwise windows core needs more ram than 1g, with low rams in this situation windows uses page file which is a ram simulator in hard drive. the conclusion is flash plugin regularly crashes in the game.
ubuntu uses page file like windows which is crash after all. the benefit of lubuntu is that lubuntu uses so low resources like 300-400 mb ram for whole OS, rest of the ram is for programs like chromium or others.
I installed 3 distributions and none of them was what I want, because shrinking drives and installing linux then bringing back the boot system and drives to normal situation is a long process I asked it here

300-400 mb ram for whole OS?
Actually, it's not so light afterall. Really ligthweight distros use 200-250mb (such as antiX for example) for 64bit system or 120-170mb for 32bit (again, antiX).
I personally use archlabs atm, it takes about 250 mb

10 years ago ubuntu was the only "user-freindly" distro with propriotary drivers and multemedia codecs out of the box, easy install process and so on (ubuntu 9.04 was my first linux. good times )... Nowdays almost every distro has all this stuff. So, what is so special about ubuntu?

I dont know, if you know a better choice I would be glad if you guid me to a light and fast easy install/remove distribution, is it archilabs?
author: jackthehorn    time: 2018-6-23 07:47:10

Loved Ubuntu after using Redhat 2.0 But if you can develop it or upgrade it by yourself or some HR company you work in the tech guys can make it so however you want.
But for your Question no dont use for gaming purposes.

Ubuntu family is nice to go (i like MATE one most of them). I can't say any other is definitely better. I just like using AUR more than including different ppa.
Archlabs has terminal-based installer and post-intallation script. It's not difficult in any way, but it takes twice more time (like 30-40 mins or so) to install than most others distros.
If you're looking for light and easy to install distribution you may look at manjaro community releases (openbox, i3) or their flagship (xfce. I use this one on another machine and find it great )

I had knoppix and I used my engineering softwars on wine and it did not work, i think arch needs more linux knowledge than average. anyway, I have windows and I want a light not complication distribution for everyday linux experience and this game.

Vanilla arch needs some knowledge and a lot of time to install it for sure. That doesn't go to arch-based distros. Most of them just provide easy or sort of easy installation of arch.
Over the years i used different distros (ubuntu, mint, mandriva, antix, opensuse) but since i tried out manjaro... Yes, AUR will make me use arch based distros to the end of my days . You're right, everything will go to arch.

Having 2 gb of ram i don't have any problems with this game using ppapi-plugin (meaning any chromium-based browser works fine).
However npapi-plugin doesn't work fine for me. Somehow it freezes a lot and take too much of cpu time. So, firefox and its forks can't do this game properly, at least last time i checked it.

Instead of buying the ram which in a long run if you sell your PC would be a waste of money, use the pendrive to create a virtual ram it will work perfectly.

Yes but recently released firefox version uses the same split cap usage of ram by running multiple and parallel processes of the same EXE. So now you can use fox too just it heats up the chip more than chrome.
Try 3GB everything runs smooth as silk and more space to do more simultaneously.

EXE? Do you sugest to run firefox through wine?

Try 3GB

I see a contradiction
Besides it's not lack of ram that slows down firefox. I have 4 gb of ram on a laptop and still firefox works awfully with this particular game (as well as palemoon. waterfox does slightly better).
Anyway everything (aside from firefox) runs smooth as silk on a pc with 2 gb of ram, so i can continue using chromium and have nothing to worry about.

No contradiction I wasnt clear enough i think, i suggested him/her not to invest any in PC (if using an old one) instead a way out if he/she wants to buy a new one in future. Using pendrive as VR was the way out.

And yes chrom still beats fox in this one least.

I think the problem is not ram. for being updated and secure in windows I need so much better hardware while it is free in linux.
IMO your suggestion is temporary because microsoft will update windows regularly and someday even 4 gig ram would be not enough
