But Senju is faster and has higher wit growth.

If you go Hiki first, you risk getting hit first by a enemy with Tensa, using Senju and Hiki (since Tensa gives Speedbuff).

I keep forgetting who you are ingame... but my senju does her job quite reliably, even without having Katen at lvl 50.

You'd save up for a week or two, get a ton of EXP scrolls and de-level 1 at a time and then nearly instantly jump them back up in level. At least to that of their gear (which should only be 100/110 for most).
