Does "infuse spirit level" of the item stay same after upgrading or does it go back to lvl 0?

The only thing that changes is the refine stats, so if you had STR, WIS and AGI on the gear it will have new random stats. If the gear is not fully infused. you will need 12th Division water to raise infuse level. You don't need to remove stones, they will stay.
