ive been playing around trying to figure it out this week and i found it.  in my server, im well over 20 levels above others, and my clan has a higher than average levels.  Also, my ES is a level or 2 ahead of the other 2 clans.  The formula is Clan average level if its higher than the current world level, or if clan average is lower, then the ES is the level of the average in the world
