SWP Kenpachi vs Stark

Was having a discussion with a fellow gamer from my server and he believes that swp kenpachi fills more important rolls than stark would as a VG , and has better overall stats and capabilities. I've been reading some negative reviews about his fossilize skill , and I'm having mixed emotions. I honestly believe deep down I could pull off more with stark (not just because I'm a fan of him) lol, but what do you guys think? Who would serve a better roll as vg and oh dear god don't tell me about ichigo lol cannot stand him!

I have and will continue to use Starrk until I can have Noz Kenny.  I currently have SWP Kenny, but he just isn't comparable to my Starrk in terms of PVP and even some PVE (like Hollow Soul Map).  Now Noz Kenny on the other hand, no question that he can out perform Starrk.

A few key things to look at here that I didn't see mentioned yet.

Partner mods; Starrk has fantastic partner mods, but Noz has superior mods.  The auto defense stuns, on a VG is godly.  Also, Noz has an increased to his Block cap, Starrk has an increase to his break defense cap.  When evaluating a tank, having a higher block rate is far more valuable then having a higher break defense rate.  The break defense comes in handy for hollow map, but that is only because you can't ever block hollow map attacks.  So Noz's mods far outshine Starrk, though that does not mean Starrk doesn't have great mods (huge defense boosts and the flat str % increase is great).

Zanpakuto; I run Hyorinmaru and Starrk (I also own SWP Kenny, and soon Noz Kenny).  You should take a look at the activation affect for Hyorinmaru for phase 2...it has an affect for Noz Kenny that reads: "At the end of each round, recover own HP by 25% of your ATK".  So, if you own this zanpakuto, or might ever get it (I got mine for $20 during Reio), once you get it to phase 2 it will make your Noz even more amazing giving him a self heal every round.  Hyorinmaru gives no phase bonuses at all to Starrk, only the normal 3 stats.  Noz Kenny benefits more from Hyorinmaru then any other VG, including Starrk.  Especially considering Noz increases his own attack by 35%.  Also, the phase 3 affect lets him heal for 50% of his attack every round.

Evolution; both Starrk and Noz have good PVP and PVE evolution...but if I had to pick between the two, I would take Noz Kenny.  Starrk caps out at +25k dmg & +194k hp's, Noz at 12k dmg & 153k hp's.  But Noz has 5% more immune rate, +14k more phys defense and +10k more strategy defense, and larger bonuses to dodge/block/aid/recovery, whereas Starrk has larger bonuses to hit/break def/crit.  The one silver lining is Starrk gets 3% more of a combo rate then Noz, which is an important stat.  Either way, overall Noz Kenny is designed to be a more resilient VG.

Overall I look at it this way, both Noz Kenny and Starrk are good tanks.  But in the end, Noz Kenny has far more utility then Starrk.  He can fossilize, silence and stun the enemy, and if you pickup the best VG zanpakuto, then he picks up a nice self heal. Looking at max evolution, Noz will far outank Starrk, and the few offense hits he takes to things like crit/hit/break def, he can easily makeup with stones.

I love my Starrk.  He allows me to beat people I couldn't beat with SWP Kenny, and he does far better in the hollow map, but when I get Noz Kenny, Starrk will get retired.  I should have Noz Kenny by Xmas, and by then I'll have enough tokens for a couple mods, and have evolution items saved up for him, and Hyorinmaru will be on Phase 2.

I don't normally invest this much time into a post, I hope it proves to be insightful and helpful.

1st form is just better for pve then starrk, for es and wave below 52 in ryoka besides dat starrk is better, but if u can upgrade to Noza, definitely go for him

his first form is worse than sajin IMO he still does nice damage but he is incomplete starrk is much better than him in pvp that way

Starrk can fck 1st form of kenny, but noza its just a god, he is like Spartacus xD

Starrk has always seemed far weaker than I had hoped.  I dumped him for Soph Rang and would never look back.  Soph rang is dramatically more of a tank than Starrk and in most cases has more utility as well.  Soph Rang has ~25% more BP than starrk with identical gear at lvl 110.
