Okay so just a warning people, there seemed to be increse in scammers ive seen a few threads about it but felt like warning any one that is not aware, you might get asked if you are active on events from randomers you dont know.  Clearly scam right? yeah but some half brain might belive it, so its better to be safe. Also the screen shot is a perfect example of a noob scammer. Name and shaming him but his account was created for scam purpose so not much shame. Oh well enough me blabbleing enjoy your day and stay away from scammers .

He starts begging you to let him "help you" by piloting your account for events. He says he's a professional and he definitely won't change your password...

No replies after, come on no need to think about it. A stranger asks you if you are active in all events what other purpose would he have if not to scam. Also if he did he would replie would`t he. Now he also massaged a few people in server. Unless you mean you have no idea what scam means or you have confused scamming with hacking you should not be asking this question. Now third option would be that you are the scammer and some how trying to defend your self but that's a bit too far. And last option would be that i misunderstood your question if that id the case please feel free to rephrase it.  Thanks for reading have a great day/night depending on region.

Oh I just wanted to know what the scam was about so I could lookout for it. Since I haven't been scammed yet and want to be smart about it. just wondering if he kept edging you on and such

Nah if i was to deduct in what way the scammer is working its rather simple. He does a daily routine of creating random characters on each server, one by one and pms any one that is currently online asking if you are active on events, than progressing to "make you feel like he is your friend and out of pure generosity he will be kind to you and waste his time piloting your account for free". Now feel my sarcasm in there, because no one does things for free unless you are friend. So now he is hoping for some child as we have them playing this game or adult that could have a disability or simply he believes things too easily to actually share the account, if that happens he would log in change the pass word quickly change email address and check if the account is worth anything, if yes put on trading web site if not slap in trash and forget about. How to be smart about simply put something like i did "Nah mate i dont give a shit about you cuntish scams so fuck off! " This should be answer to any one who randomly pms you with a character lvl 1 and you have no idea who they are asking you if you are active on events or any similar thing. Sorry for foul language and anything that may course offence to you, im not hoping to offend any one except the scammer if by chance he is reading this :3

Lol most of the people on my server have just been trolling them and wasting their time. One guy managed to keep him in a conversation for 20 minutes before the scammer realized he was being trolled XD

That might be even batter than my "Fuck off" way . Points to you and your server mates. Its clear to most its just someone might unfortunately fall for it like i said a child or a easy believing adult. Have a nice day/night depending on your region. Yeah I do worry that they'll manage to find the type of person they're looking for and finally manage to pull off their scam. But for now my server has done their best to slow them down lmao

Good to hear, oh well lets just hope no one falls for it. I believe you only should share your account with close server mates that you often speak with and would not gain much by scamming you. But still it better not to unless you really need a pilot.

Finally ended at 48 minutes when I told him he'd have to meet me tomorrow along with the account number to a bank account with $300k in it so I could use it for my new startup business. He agreed lmfao. This guy has been rather entertaining.

Spent 40 mins giving him fake accounts and breaking it up by desperate bids for attention. Then started the saga of a life where my mom didn't love me so i had to find some way to get her to look at me. So I killed the family pet and she wouldn't speak to me for weeks. She then sent me to a mental hospital where i met the love of my life but couldn't tell her due to her being deaf and me not knowing sign language. He would interrupt me periodically to ask for my account so i yelled at him to let me finish and i'd give him an account. I went on to tell him how after i couldn't communicate with her i started hearing her voice in my head, then started telepathy exercises. After 6 weeks of trial and error i finally gave it a shot to see if she could understand me but i could only do it in the nude. So when she screamed i ran away from the mental hospital, still naked and cold and frightened. It's at this point I told him that i must retire to bed because it was lights out in C block but i would finish the story of how i ended up where i am and how i am able to talk on the computer, and after i finish i would give him the account tomorrow. Im open for suggestions on how to bridge the gap between naked running through town and ending up in federal prison doing life without parole.

Spoiler alert: I can message from prison due to telepathy
Edit: Father was a rolling stone, Mom was 5'9 and abusive, Brothers name is kevin, Sisters name is lucy, Dogs name is fido, Stepbrothers name is Juan

Edit2: After discussing the topic with kos, It turns out i had been talking to him for over an hour before the story started

We're both from US servers. But I'm fairly sure there's people from the eu servers that have been complaining too. It's possible they just haven't asked you. There's a few people on my server that didn't know about it until a day or 2 ago.

Rofl the scammer just came on and said hi. He asked if I remembered our conversation from a few days ago where I agreed to give him an account if he brought me $300k in investments. I was a bit stunned that he actually remembered the conversation, but I said yeah I remembered saying that. Then he said "Give me the account first and I'll give you the money." Seriously this dude is like an all new level of stupidity, it's so funny. I just told him "Not interested kthnxbye" and logged off.

the main thing i was stressing is that all these scammers are using the same line. and they interact too. so its not a bot but its all the same person or a group of idiots who have a shitty template to start with.
