You're not wrong. I'm over average. Not quiet a genius but studding and learning are my only talent so I try my best to keep it that way. Doing everything now so I can get to good uni and do Architecture, after maybe start my own business. Not sure about everything, putting my all in studies for now.
And your future plans my young one?

Why give a shit about everyone expectations? They won't be the ones doing the work, you will you, chose your path. Just because it won't please everyone it does not mean its wrong. Just don't become a hoe, that is wrong all the way. Also how old are you, you might still be too young to know your ambitions and targets.

Try talking about it with your parents. You should not be pressured to do something you don't want. Yet if you are still unsure you should at least do enough studying to get over average, so that you have most possible options open. I can't talk much, when I was taking my finals I did no revision and so on...I guess I matured a bit from that time, still don't regret it. The games I played were worth while.
(Note I passed everything I took and got Bs in most important subjects which is over average)

I try to stay in the top 5 as much as possible and I've never gone below the top 10 so I dont think my grades are that bad....:/ I just want to make my parents proud of me :3 This is a new year as of now (It's 12:00 rn!)
so I want to start anew and study hard so I can reach my goals! The one thing am incredibly lacking is self confidence I got 0% of it lol.

Lets put it this way. I hate myself, which is the primary reason I want to do well. Because I have nothing else. Just my genetic ability which allows me to learn faster. And even that isn't amazing. Self hatred can become your motivation, that is if you really hate your self. Nether the less its not good to hate yourself, it can get you depressed and shit. But can be good if it motivates you, all dependent on you psychological approach to self.

Also as long as you don't fail in life your parents will be proud. Think about it this way. What would you want your kids to be so you can be proud. Your answer probably is something along the lines of "Themselves" or "Whoever they want to be". Parents aren't proud of kids because they achieve things parents want, parents are proud when you achieve things you want, and carve your own path, not follow the selected one. Reason they might want to push you in certain direction is because they want your life to be easier. They push you because they are afraid they won't be able to catch you. If that makes sense.

No chance, politics is the only sector of higher education I hate. Truly disgust me, lies, traitors and God knows what really happens when the camera are off. And being in center of biased media all time. Not my thing.
Hope my advice helped you a bit. Just warning about self hatred, remember to still accept yourself, so you don't go off taking drugs and self harming to forget your existence.
