For PvP it matters very little what formation you use, 1-2-2 or 1-3-1, or even 1-1-3 because most damage will be coming from your main, its a game of one-shot between mains in PvP.
As for PvE events, like Ryoka , you need to run 0-3-2
And for PvE such as espada and trials, you can run either of the formations you are asking about, they all work rather well.

Fox face as tank
main with 10th skill
yourichi, and harr as support with kisuke

Fox face is self explanatory since he is a tank/vanguard at lvl 90 you should know what they are for
have you main's skill set to the final/10th skill because its the AOE/AAE skill that attacks all enemies
Yourichi will stun support be sure she is the fastest on you team
harr will stun enemy assualter(s) and decrease their fury possibly leaving them a few points short of using their skill the next round ~ which is always useful
kisuke ~ since everyone else will copy this formation and run yourichi and harr it would be best to add kisuke since he adds fury to everyone ~ yourichi will cause fury loss to your support and harr will cause fury loss to your assault line ~ kisuke will help add back some of that fury loss or possibly add all of it back allowing you to use your skill on the turn it was supposed to be on

Most of pple use a 1-2-2 team formation.
But to be true in most of the team only 2 or three partner do the job.(vanguard/main/and if main don't act first...one stunner is need)
So u're free to make any choice with those remaining place.
All depend on u're personal asset.
If u have a good wallet a 1-1-3 team with yoruichi and Haribel as stunner won't let any chance to u're opponent. U only need to act first with those two, and have enough hp with u're vanguard and do enough damage with u're main.
But that cost a lot in spirit stone. To be competitive. And agi stone don't help to make damage in pve event and so don't help to gain a lot of silver.
A 1-3-1 team is very productive for pve event u only need to change stuff between u're vanguard and one supporter. But very easy to counter in pvp.
With a 1-2-2 team, it's much more easier. U only need to change stuff between u'e vanguard, and one of the assaulter's best damage dealer (kempachi or ikkaku). Vanguard are ghost blade, and those two are ghost blade too.
Same with two supporter in u're basic team u will only need to change stuff between them and Rukia/Urahara for the best pve team formation (for evil spirit and ryokka event).
Lvl 83 running a 1 2 2 formation also: sajin main(strengh) ikkaku yoru and inoue/rukia, i can't afford to recruit ura since i'm aiming for kenpachi and was wondering if the 1 - 3 -1 is doable too i have to say having a combi kenpachi ikkky with main can be destroying what do you think

Dude im lvl 96 now and i m using 1-3-1 formation Unohana/Main/ikkaku/kenpachi/sajin but when i was ur lvl i recruit urahara and rukia is a must for grown stronger because u need to do most damage in evil spirit and ryoka u need to maximize ur damage which means u can get average 20m silver per evil spirit and depends on luck 20-30m silver at ryoka events also i got 15-25 piece of lvl 3 spirit stones at ryoka i just exchange all equipments with my unohana to kisuke and sajin with rukia and calculate their speeds and made this straight faster to slower Urahara>Rukia>Main(with 9th skill)>Kenpachi>İkkaku i even tried to give my main sets to kenpachi and i got really good results and good damage hope this tips helps you good luck and have fun...

wow that's huge, you telling right now if i add urahara to my rukia i'll triple the gains from events? in pve i use for now mai renji ikkaku yoru and rukia.
Thks for the tip i'll think about, i'm just short again on reishi since i just recruited ikkaku 4 days ago and i'm short on reishi, my reiatsu is lvl41 guess is average for a lvl83 with a 310K BP, i'm concentring on optimazing my gear now since i quit enhencing it when i was lvl 70 and concentrated only on reiatsu and reishi. after i finish i may go back to reishi

You will gonna surprise the damage u will do when you made full pve team like me =) i just cant imagene one day i can do 1billion over total damage at ryoka myself ^^

Your at my lvl but your BP is a couple thousand lower then mine and im a VIP 4. I run the same formation as yours but my damage doesnt go as high as yours in Ryoka, mainly because i start missing alot in wave 27 because thats my limit of 1 hit shot if I crit. In Evil spirit I get about 20mil per week mainly because i can only go twice a week. I was wondering what is your limit in 1 hit.
hmmm i m not sure about wave lvl but i can say i can 1 shot till 16m hp ryokas attackng and if i crit i can still go on 1shot till 17-18m hp ryokas whats ur server and bp??? İm trying to create best pve formation and spirit stones actually im played pve purpose but my pvp rank not bad also i m 2nd at arena rank usually i can beat 30-40k higher bp and higher spirit stone player but our 1st rank honda katsu is a monster who has %100 fury start =)<
