Honestly i do not care what is going on with this game at this point. But today a player on my server asked about which stones he should socket in, so because of boredom i wana bring up that issue on forum. As we know all stat beside agi/str/wis/vit/hit are capped at 90%. It may worked as intended (IT DIDN'T) many years ago, but right now it certainly not working. Main issue is of course Evasion stones, they are just completly useless because of uncapped Hitrate - basically nothing would change if you just removed evasion stones from the game. But that is not everything because for older players Counter/Break/Block stones are also useless - it take only 2 t12 counter/break and 3 t12 crit/block/eva to hit the cap. After that point these stones just gather dust in your inventory.


I think if cap would be removed it would give a loot more space for different USEFUL builds. Some pointless characters like for example: Bambietta/Mayuri/Koga would actually find a place in someones set-up. As for now only AGI/STR/WIS/STA stones matter.

lets look at dodge, as that's what you mentioned...

exclusive skill Starrk, well modded Koga, 90% stones/refine,  however much Starrk gets from evo, 70% dodge from mod swaps...

that sounds like to have a chance to hit Starrk you would need at least 381% hit rate to hit unless I'm plain wrong....

Starting Starrk at 0% natural, and not giving him anything for evo as I don't know what he evo's, Koga's 4th or 5th mod reduces all foes hit rate by 100%, making you need 101% to have a chance to hit him, 70% from mods brings that to 171%, Starrk's exclusive skill lowers foes hit rate by another 25%, and raises own dodge by 100%, making the total now 297% needed, add to that 90% from stones/refine to the total of 381% hit rate to have a 1% chance to hit Starrk...  yeah bro, because we need to make that more OP

The only problem with that is that Stark needs to skill, and koga doesn't reach that amount of dodge (so he probably dies and next turn he won't give his aura)

How about no? If they release 90% cap, people will stack more of those stones, and it will take up more than just 8 stone slots on all equipments.

The most essential ones are in the good position and less essential ones will be capped.

if you can't keep your foes from skilling, that may be half of your problem...   a fast T1 stunner, fury reducer, invincibility, defense boost, or, and I know this one is is a novel concept, how about you build your Koga and Starrk strong enough to survive a full round or two?  especially your Starrk, with that setup, even witout Koga's mod you would need at least 300% hit rate to hit him 1/5 attacks...

Now, granted, you will get much more from Block, but Nnorilta or H Ichi would be the better option to go with F2P Block god...  Nnorilta because he bonds block rate, and Ichi because his exclusive skill boosts his defense insanely and gives him some regen...

In fact, let me say a few simple sad statements...  

If you are looking to manipulate the dodge stat to build a team around, you are playing the short game and will NEVER move past middle tier past level 110

If you are looking at Starrk as your go to vanguard, or really even a stepping stone on the way to other better vangs, you are doing it wrong IMO as almost every update to date this game has put out has boosted him the least by far IMO



the other option would be to cap hit rate and fundamentally change everything about the base hit rate in the game and change the dodge rate of every single pve enemy in the game, and most of the pvp ones too...

to add to this, my alts stark with exclusive skill and max dodge stones will DODGE ryoka and es fury skills

To begin with nobody from top 20 cross-server is using Starrk. He will simply be killed or dissabled before he get chance to cast his skill. Im speaking about usable combos - in these dodge is useless.

How about i dont give a fk? If you like to stack t-12 Dodge/Break/Block/Counter in your inventory you must have some kind of illness.

If your CSB isn't full of scrubs, nobody from the top 20 will be using ANY tavern partner realistically...  dodge is a niche stat for sure, but you can bring it up to a natural 170% with almost anyone, mixed with Koga's mod that will mean that you need 300% hit rate on a partner to have a 30% chance to even hit...  how about Rajin's mods with it...  if she gets to 30% health she gets a 200% boost to dodge...   Just like with block, you have to invest a lot into dodge to get a good return...  look at dodge master Ishida (Ryukin I believe it's spelled) you can blow that dodge rate out of the water...hit rate doesn't have a cap per se, however I have 6x level 11 hit stones on my Muken and I believe that got his hit rate up just under 350% if I recall...  so there IS a hit rate cap, and it's under 400%...  90% dodge from stones, I believe Ryuken can get 100% from mods, about 25% from evo I believe, and paired with a well modded Koga to basically tack on another 100% and he should be able dodge a foe with 6x tier 12 hit stones on them...  Just like you can get Noza or Nnorilta's block rate up around 220%, which means to have a chance to not get blocked by them you need 121% break defense (and that's only a 1% chance to avoid the block)
