current kenpachi is calm and cool rather than that wild animal he was before. means he got more control over his reiatsu and other stuff. his shikai can cut through anything even byakuya blade petals (maybe) and zaraki is kenpachi. stronger than unohana. so basically he is stronger than byakuya. another proof is that at save rukia arc hanataro ( you probably forget, didnt ya?) said kenpachi with eye patch has the same reiatsu as byakuya so means eye patch removed is stronger.

and about the yammamoto case, he taught him kendo for one day but stopped the training becuz he was afraid he would become a threat to soul society not that he would become stronger than yammamoto. as kenpachi didnt have bankai so yammamoto is stronger. btw yammamoto is dead so he cant fight with dead body

Possibly, I mean yamas bankai was amazing, sad we only saw it for 1-3 chapter because he got battered, but shikai vs shikai I think kenpatchi would have an edge. (Just releasing his reitsu would protect him from flames) and bankai vs bankai, we can't even assume. I might be wrong, but its not like Byakuya(current state) vs ken, it would not be that one sided. #SadTimes
