the def buff from kokuto and hasch should more than cover that...  plus there are peeps that crush block rate these days, or you can stack your break def...
HVI+BWB is a great combo, no doubt...  IMO there are better ways to go ATM, and even if there aren't, rest assured that the next partner or two will clip those nuts on the combo
