The characters I picked from UBP :
Yamamoto (full evo, semi-dead)
Senbonzakura (semi-dead)
Hikifune (no evo, semi-dead)
Tensa Zangetsu (dead)
Mugetsu (almost full evo, may dies)
Yhwach (full evo)
Shy Nemu (half-evo, may dies)
May dies = Will be probably replaced in the future.
Semi-dead = Barely use them in a daily basis, only useful for some specific stuffs.
Seeing like that a full evo partner going away by a better one later, it hurts to see all the vits wasted. It's kinda like with the PCs, you are about to buy the components to build yourself a PC BUT you know there will be new and stronger components the next month ? If you wait the next month to buy the new component but another next month will have better ones AGAIN, it keeps going, we keep progressing in the life, now the question is :
When is the good time to buy the components ?

You are not forced to make a top-tier PC that costs your left lung. You can make a decent one, decent enough to play the current games/run the programs for months or even years before you need to upgrade...
It's the same with UBP, the partners are decent and you need them to get Muken or Kyoka faster than without, and even if you have Muken you may keep using those UBP partners because they are still decent in the current game.
Noble Isane; Shy Nemu; Yhwach; And maybe Handsome Toshiro, are all worth to pick from UBP (which it has been generous lately). If you missed them, worry not, they may come back later.
So it's up to you if you want to save the vit or not. Your best option (assuming you are an experienced player and not a beginner who just started on a new server) is to keep at least 12k vit in reserve for UBP for a partner you dream to get or favorite or whyever you want it, and the extra vit above 12k is used on SA.
At the beginning, it may be best to do SA first, it is important to have the ressources to build a partner well, a well builded tavern partner beats an ungeared UBP partner. And by "ressources" I mean the spirit stones, hogus... Anything that doesn't need an inherit when you want to transfer something to another partner.
The idea is to suggest the devs a function where the players get the gold monthly (50~200 gold per month), but it's kinda too generous, maybe a special currency ? Inherit coin (1 coin for a 60% inherit, 5 or 10 for a 80%)... Whatever you name it, so the F2Ps players try a new formation (despite the loss of the ressources) and love it, that's what make them keep playing the game, instead of getting bored of the game because same formation for years nothing new blabla... inb4 it's a test of if you manage well your team
