Hey guys, I just need some help making a decision. I'm planning on getting at least 2 chars from xmas carnival. Rn my mind is telling me to grab Sternritter Uryu as an Assaulter and then grabbing Ginjo as a VG. What I can't decide on is whether Uryu is better than hvi.
Hvi gets his skill every turn so he's basically t1 and he does immense damage.
But Uryu has really good mods and a 400% skill.
so basically...Uryu or HVI...?
Current formation: Main, Ikakku, Kirinji, Shinso Gen, Toshiro.

200% is actually the skill of uryu.. after some debates here I decided to go for HVI+kokuto instead of BwB+Sternritter as I wanted initially. You can do hvi+bwb and add kokuto after, my hvi is 1.7m bp and have lower atk and phys def than the sternritter that the previously 1st in arena has, I didn't even added kokuto yet and I beat him like this-> He's faster, he have like 600k speed on stern and even faster bwb. Still, my hvi 1shots him, and he has 2.5m hp. My HVI have lvl 10-11 stamina and full block, full +10/11 and two 12 lvl str, and it tanks pretty well. 80 lvl gantz mod soul
So far i'm glad I picked HVI because I got from 3->1 in arena..
The importance of having such chars is to stack them. Between running a naked sternritter and having a stacked yhwach I would choose the second anytime. Just go for HVI+kokuto+(def/off booster supp) Kokuto and Haschwalth does great in terms of pvp/void.
As I told you, I studied their mods and bonds and everything and decided to go hvi+kokuto over stern+bwb

It's 200%?? I thought he got buffed to 400% because his skill was bugged? That growth rate alone is enough to make me choose HVI

Change toshiro with hvi and kirinji with kokuto.
Now u want to decide if u're goona run 2-3-0 or 3-2-0. I would go for 2-3-0 with Cute Orihime-Kokuto-Ikkaku-HVI in pve and keep your shinso in pvp. renting a Cute orihime is, idk.. 100 gold a week, 150.
I heared that February UBP might be Shy Nemu. Complement ur team with Shy nemu-Kokuto-Ikkaku-HVI and then try to change Ikkaku.
Edit: 200% is uryuu

I see, so HVI is the obvious choice. So instead of getting Ginjo the broken VG I should go for a boost for HVI? What about Shin Daig Tosh btw

You can go SDT if u feel like it, but the freeze can be immuned and most chars are immune to fury detection, he gives enough dmg boost for the team and can still be exploited in void, idk for how much tho.
But, is fast naturally, however, ask yourself a question when you go for partners of this price range. Would I really see this partner in my end-game team formation? Ofc, a team made at the end of 2017 with the best partners is lacking compared with a 2018 one. However, things like Haschwalth, Yhwach...u name it are still good and can work. You need to know where are u aiming with ur team.
Kugo is "broken" only if u don't have enough dmg, as game progresses you'll find different problems in pvp, but an immortal kugo is only because someone on the other team lacks dmg. I was thinking myself of kugo as well, but we basically are 1-2 months away from new release who might be a VG.

One thing that people ignore when giving advice for formation/ building a formation is "who and what are you fighting" and u must know better wich formations are u up against and decide a little from there. Kugo is still very strong pick but needs tons of resources to be effective and, at your lvl i would focus getting a good supp + assaulter and build my team with a vg after

Im having the same debate with muself now and would like a good explanation aswell. It seems hvi has more damage if kokuto is there. But if katen is there uryu could do more dmage i think and pairs well with katen. And uryu skill it says is 400% so that would mean 1200% with crit damage (160% frm katen and 40% from uryu mod)... i think. If so thats a lot. Hvi has 2 more atack mods over uryu but uryu seems to surpass with crit. Also uryu seems to tank well because of high aid rate from passive talent and mod.
Mu guess is uryu can tank longer while hvi is a bit squshy and unpredictable

Do not bother with HVI. Uryuu is the only Assaulter to consider getting for now.

Wait really? I'm being told 2 different things now. So I should get URYU?
