Normally RJ is better in most scenarios but Katen has its uses as it is still the best PVE based zanpaktou in ryoka and ES. In PVP Katen is usefull with offensive support formations and hyper offence in general where if you have the team which can build high enough attack potential on its own katen can be used to give the buff to one shot many a foes.
However if you are buying RJ is going to be 8/10 times better cause it just does to much absurd shit.

RJ is better than Ichimonji if used correctly, Ichi gives more stats, but that's all.
RJ still best zanp in game

nah, Ichimonji is still better if you know how to use it. RJ is just easier to use.

As a RJ user who doesn't own Ichimonji.
RJ did a lot for me, more than Ichi could have done. As indeed RJ is a no-brainer.
but I would say for peops 0-5m BP RJ is the best zanp.
Ichi comes in hand later for his stats and the buff clear, aid is good in early, t1 is good..but I would say RJ does more. Ichimonji without good chars is useless. RJ is better for poor.
I'm not a fan of Ichimonji and I will wait a new release till Christmas to see if I will change my zanp till then..if no new zan appears, I'm gonna consider Ichimonji only after I've done everything to my formation.
let's say +10/12m BP, then Ichimonji is a no-brainer. till then RJ rulez

RJ is generally better than Katen as it can fully counter Katen users. PvE, Katen is still better for damage.

Exactly, it's easier to use, the def buff to let you survive a little longer, and extra damage from burn and multilate for those that cant do proper damage.

Ichimonji are for those that are tanky enough and able to do proper dmg. More advanced zanpakuto for higher tier players.

But nothing beats KS, as a broken zanpakuto, whoever goes slower will give extra chances to win the fight.
