It makes sense when you think about it. If it was a direct 2000 gold you could abuse it for free points, so it's there for the purpose which epiclaoku used it for.

Not sure what y'all talking about, if I read well the rules, basically you pay for 4000 gold in festival and  you can receive up to 8000 gold if you are lucky enough to get the gold offer in bargain sale or if you refresh, so there is nothing as "free" gold like I got gold without pulling out my credit card and there is no mistake from gogame either

its simple.you use the free chance you get from festive windfall by topping up 4k which gives you a free draw in tremendous discount.and guess what..you usually go for that 2k ...so you get it for ''free''.plus you could keep buying the 2k for 3k to gather points to exchange for whatever the shop provides,keeping your gold spending to a more reasonable amount.cause if they had it as: spend 3k - get 3k instead of spend 3k -get 2k then you d be getting the points for actually free making you get whatever in the shop for 0 gold by constantly exchanging and not losing gold.so you didnt find some stupid thing from them,an error or something none has known.it just seems like you didnt use your brain first to see how to use the event properly.
