Just wondering...is it still about 20k gold to get to 550 points?
And is this event still worth it or better to wait for other to get partners?

Red Chars can be seen as having a gold char in the games meta atm lol. There's much more value in just saving up to buy an orange character. The red characters are still overpriced for the relative small boost they'll give you.
