Since not a lot of ppl like to give helpful answers (not that I mind the comedy here in forums) here the best answer I can give to you
Event Toshiro- Honestly I wouldn't bother with Toshiro at this point in time but that just me, but if you really want to use him then you'll want to build him as offesivly as you possibly (need lvl 9 stones at most) can so he gets his skill off. since he lowers the opponent Vanguard attack and break defence by 25% (isn't much if your opponent is stronger that your Toshiro) this can help you out but again this is hard if you don't have high lvl stones to use. Toshiro will run into a lot of issues pass lvl 100 as most opponents you'll face will have a high break defence stat (PVE) or if your opponent can play around Toshiro entirely. Toshiro also need a Zanpakuto that doesn't drop his damage rate
Pros: can disrupt your opponent Assult line making it easier for Toshiro to Block.
Cons: High lvl stone cost for non gold spenders and isn't great at higher lvls and need a good Zan
Coyote Starrk - this is base on personal experience since my Current vanguard is Starrk, Starrk is great for the fact that he can hit everyone as well as recovering 50% HP (base on his attack damage not his max HP) but that where all the pros ends. Starrk sadly is another one of those that requires High level stones (level 9 at most) and need to get his skill off ASAP otherwise he going to be nuked long before he can go off. you also need a Zanpakuto to compliment him being a Vanguard that won't lower his Damage (Hyorimaru and Senbonzakura are your best coice)
Pros: able to recover HP off of both normal and skill hits and a all hitter.
Cons: Same as Toshiro
Hollowed Ichigo - Personally I think Hollowed Ichigo is the best Vanguard for f2p to Low VIP because he can be built both Offensively or Defensively. plus Ichigo puts a high Aid Rate on your Assult line which can a saving grace against your opponent on top of being able to recover HP for 45% (again base on his attack power not max HP). Ichigo major downfall when compared to Starrk is the fact that he only single target and some of his modifications could be a bit better (never got the point of Strategy attack on Van). otherwise this is the one I would recommand the most of the 3
Pros: Same as Starrk with the added Aid Rate on Assult line
Cons: Single target and Mods
these are just my personal thoughts and I know not everyone will agree but it really all up to you in the wnd on how you want to build your formation
