Isshin is PvP based.  It just so happens his effect doesn't work on Ryoka, so his benefits are instantly enjoyed through combos

isshin works EPIC for pvp... and superb in events too mainly due to his combo skill, white ichigo is just straight off 180% dmg + 35 fury regen... ikakku is more usefull

white ichigo is much better than ikkaku...

15% combo, 15% str, 45% agi

-25% dmg, +25% dmg, +35 fury regen

On an isshin team + 1 fury generator support, he can almost skill every turn
