no, for your zanpakuto to upgrade you go to the zanpakuto tab and release cultivation, you use souls to upgrade the zanpakuto (or gold) but the lvls of the reitsu must be high enough to upgrade your zanpakuto
i believe it goes like this: 5 Shikai, 15 bankai, but i don't know what hogyo kai is
