I'm not saying that i came up with the theory. When i read the chapter i had my suspicions, and checked online for any credible sources with support to it. That thread was the best i found.

well when we found out that kenpachi stole a zanpakuto we could suspect why it didnt tell him its name but in chapter 527 unohana dies and nozarashi talks to kenpachi coz when unohana died the curse lifted off(if it is a curse i dont remember corectly)

it wasn't a curse actually, the whole point of the fight was for unohana to awaken zaraki's sealed powered, which he sealed in their first fight, fearing if he wins, he won't have a decent opponent to enjoy fighting with.
