momo is great because of the stun not to sure of the difference between rukia and rangiku except for maybe different stat builds or passives for team

Welll momo is good for pvp as well for pve
Rukya is fully suport it will help u use your hevy dmg skill faster by giving u 30 energy lowering the time u need t use skill again by 1 turn. She is ussful in pvp as well for pve and events. The only problem whit her is lower dmg then momo or Matsumoto.
Matsumoto its good only at start and for events after u get momo and rukya, u use Matsumoto to replace vanguard in order to make more dmg in events like Evil Hallowed Shinigamy or ryoka attack event (reason > well she has a good chanse to use critical)

This is my view point at least, and i do use then like this.

Momo's best for PVP and for stage PVE but not so much for trial/instance where the enemies are usually higher level'd than you which educes stun chance
Rukia is very good for PVE events like ryoka and evil spirit and can be slipped into a PVP team if you want to use the assaulter attacks more often
Matsumoto i'm not sure about(not a vip) but from what I've seen she's useless in higher ranked arena battles when people have counter stones unless you put a few high level'd crit stones on her to boost it she is usually weak in arena PVP but she might be quite good in PVE
