Well if you are active enough and they dont or if they waste their gold on not so important things then yeah you can beat regular higher vip players, but there is just no way to beat those crazy spenders who have 1+ mil bp at lvl 75..unless you spend at least the same amount.. in this case you have only few options.. you either spend more, leave and start on new server a bit later not just on the next 3-4 new servers so you dont get him back during merge or you will stay and will have to live with the fact that he will be getting everything in events in the foreseeable future...

I doubt you can afford it. Your type of person (not video game player) claims their dad/mom/family/etc have money and can buy everyone 10x over. In fact you're living a Disney fantasy life online with online friends only and spend most of your day in your underwear. Prove me wrong.
