few questions

I'm new, but not so new.
ive played before but stopped around lv50.

1. can the main never have any evolution pieces equipped to him, like the team members?
2. what are the gems right below your lv number in the partners function?
3. how many evo fragments does it take to make 1 piece? I have 2 11th division wristband frags, 3 nel tu's battle uniform frags & 2 yellow kido book frags.
4. is ikkaku vanguard from honor shop still good? I wanna get him, but I also want rukia's zanpukato
5. I've always seen ppl use kazeshini, but if I get rukia's zanpuakto, should I only use her, or switch back and forth?
6. war power ppl (something new to me) I like thinking ahead, I figured getting nel, then having her upgraded would be good with ulqiuorra (I'm aware that I need vip1)

7. ive been seeing a lot of difference choices and suggestions for vangaurds, ive seen sajin (till like lv100 or so) then ikkaku/kenpachi, then hallowfied ichigo.
now I'm not sure if theres another kenpachi in tavern, but only seen war power so far. wouldn't upgraded kenpachi be the best vanguard?

8. I've seen ina zanpaukto guide here in rukia's zanpaukto skill description that she attacks assaulters and support and amp 18%. -- what does amp mean?

EVO for main update will come soon
the gems is the current EVO level of a partner
it depends on the tier of fragments to make each piece for instance blue ones require 5 of each to make 1 and so on.. if you click on the piece you need it tells you how many fragments are required per synthesize
honor shop ikkaku is a god at blocking however getting stark or hollow ichigo as a VG is better, ikkaku is fine if you have hyorinmaru.
I have nel shes fun to use and adds fury if you have 90% dodge on VG her skill also reduces enemy hit rate so you will dodge more etc..
upgraded kenny is a great VG for both pve and pvp especially if you have hyorinmaru tensa or senbon he takes forever to get tho.
she damages asulter line and support line for 18% of your teams total damage. so if your total damage was like 100k 18% of that will be dealt.

some points noctustheking missed are:
the blue fragments are 5, purple are 10, and the yellow are 20 so your going to need to collect all the fragments before being able to fuse them together to make the final version of the evo equipment.
Your aware that all first swp partners are vip 1 but you need to be vip 2 for nel to upgrade her as well as be lvl 110 to be able to upgrade her. Ulquiorra first form is vip 1 but upgrading needs vip 4.
I personally never used sajin, i used yachuiru till lvl 70 then picked up Nnoitra which was a good choice for ryoka at lest till i got Hallow ichigo. Sajin is good for everything since he can tank for day's as long as you don't run into anything that focus down everything but vg. There is no other kenpatchi in tavern besides the normal kenpatchi the only other was is in swp and csb. Upgraded kenpatchi is a beast for pve events like ryoka and general pvp since he gives 100 fury and silences the enemy partner but normal kenpatchi fall very short in pvp and would be best left for pve and he needs to be vip 5 to upgrade.
If you got rukia's  zanpaukto thats pretty much the only one you'd be using besides  zabimaru for pve events.

thank you for answering, toshiro's zanpaukto, how is he obtained? can he be gotten free?
my guild leader has him.
if I don't have him, will ikkaku be less good?

he is only obtained by buying him or you can wait till ultimate hero event (i think thats what its called) you top up 2800 gold and you get him free that way and you have 2800 gold extra to spend on what ever you want. This is the cheapest way to get him by far. Ikkaku vg is really good even without a 0% damage reduction from zanpaukto because passively he gets 20% damage rate increase + 30%-45% agi increase, by himself he is a good partner mixed with any zanpaukto that give him hp, immune rate, and recover rate boost.

Over all if your no where around getting Hallow ichigo from the tavern then pick up ikkaku vg he will be one partner that you can take till lvl 110 maybe longer if you build him like a beast. Also if your going to pick up ikkaku vg i'd suggest any of the zanpaukto with 0% damage rating or the zanpaukto Hozukimaru because once it reaches it's 3rd phase in fortifications you get 50% of ikkaku vg total hp back after every time he attacks.

I'm only lv55 lol.
would rukia's zanpuakto be good with ikkaku too? her stats are better and for support and assulaters, she increases speed but removed damage rate compared to hozukimaru, although his avoid injury rate is 3%higher.
it would take me forever to get toshiro's zanpaukto, I haven't even topped up 2800 in Naruto lol. so he might be out of the question for a while.

rukia's zanpuakto is a really good one as well for the whole team  and gives good defensive bonus to the vg as well. I use her right now and is a good pick up with the 18k coupons from logging in for a year or if your able to save them up. Picking up vg ikkaku would be alright for you since your lvl 55 and he is the best vg to pick up being that low of a level.

Like i said though ikkaku's zanpuakto when you fortify it to its 3rd phase you unlock a ability for it which allows vg ikkaku to recover 50% of his hp from his total attack which would hold some weight if you ask me but honestly because of that fact ikkaku and rukia's zanpuakto go hand in hand imo. I'm sure there will be some people who don't agree with that and say rukia's zanpuakto is far better but you've got to look at the zanpuakto's from every angel before making a choice like that as well.
