5th Division lieutenant rank - Rank up or not ?

There's an intersting point with division rank.
It's : "Should u rank to captain 5th division or not ?".

It seem to be silly to ask it, but if u don't check wisely, this could be a major gain or lose of time in future.

First u need to know how many prestige point u're able to gain each day.

For exemple my rank in arena is third :

Daily gain = 200 x14 (arena fight) + 14 k from arena daily chest = 16800 k

And u will gain a little amount of prestige with other daily event.
So i will said 17K.

Now i'm 5 th division lieutnant. I will gain exaclty the same amount of prestige point each day....
But if i rank up and beacame 5th division capitain. I will start to lose each day some prestige point.
For 5th division captain it's 5k. And for a better rank i could lose more than 6k-7k daily.

So for the same place/result at daily event and if i win 14 fight in arena each day, my daily gain will be 12k and no more 17K. So it's will be more difficult to rank up again. (need more prestige point, and same time i will gain less prestige point).
If i'm able to gain the same amount of prestige point without upgrading my division rank (cause it give u bonus on u're base stat and immun rate for all team members). Why should i rank up ?
Better to stay 5th division lieutnant and stock my prestige point. I will use all of them in a single time and be able to rank up much more than if i use them to upgrade my rank one level at time.

After if u're able to wait a very long time.... U can try to gain enough prestige point to obtain the best rank (i think it's more than 6M prestige point for mugetsu ... 10-11 month in my case if i play evreyday and gain same amount of prestige point).  

So make the calcul and check what's the best i u're own case. Waiting or not....

Due to the overpowered nature of the dmg reduction/bonus damage bonuses, though, I'll take them NOW >

Nobody is going to get Mugetsu and even if they did, the daily costs surpasses any amount you could possibly get daily without spending a ton of gold daily on extra arena chances.

I personally stopped at Lt 3rd Division because 6k loss daily is nothing to me when I get 23k or so daily.

As long as you can afford it why not keep going? If you are active it should not be a problem.

Once you get to 5th Vice.. it takes almost 5 million accumulated Prestige to rank up directly to Mugetsu.. That is about 7-10 months straight of maintaining a top 2 rank, using up every battle chance and winning.. aside from any other perks/bonuses along the way that add to your prestige.. (gift packs/daily sign-in bonuses etc)..

It is a plan of action a few of us are using, but I dont think I'm going to invest that much time into this game.. so I'll likely just take the rank and perks associated with it.

That's just to get it, you'd lose it the next day unless you have the prestige to hold it...you'd need a absurd amount to hold it for more than 1 day.

on UN you don't not drop in rank if you don't have the prestige to upkeep at certain rank so i think it is most like the same on here which means once you hit Mu you don't ever have to worry about prestige anymore

Mugetsu is basically a gold spender title, you need to spend some gold daily, to maintain the prestige needed.
