Partner leases / bond

If you rent a partner, lets say for just 1 day, and then you let them expire, do you still have the ability to use their bond feature?  How exactly does that work, if at all?

They still work in bond when being expired

its as if you own them you just add them to the bond thing and leave them there
you can also work on their mods if you want

At the risk of asking a rhetorical and redundant question(s), I want to re-affirm my understanding before I spend 100g to rent Yamamoto.

I still wouldn't be able to use my mains bond skill associated with that character?  So if I hired Yamamoto I couldn't level up my mains +phys/kido attack skill from Yamamoto being in formation, but I could put him into the formation in the Attribute Bonus tab permanently, so that other partners that need him (like CSB Aizen for example) could level up their skills that require him?

yes you wont be able to level up mains bond since he msut be equipped
however you can just leave him in a partner bond slot for other partners to utilize his bonuses

if the partner expires, and if you remove him from bond, then you cant add him back. you have to hire him back for a day atleast to be able to put him back in bond formation. so keep that in mind.

main's bond attr is only from partners who are in battle formation at that given time. so if you want yama's attr to bond, then you have to get him and not just for lease.

yeah, i took out cute once and then couldnt add saying she expired. luckily she was for 70g or something which i had so i just got her back. and the stats stays even if you remove or dismiss the bond partner. as long as u have that partner back in bond, you can continue to upgrade from where u left off.

but yeah, make sure u get bond partners whom u will never use in battle formation. of if its someone whom u will always use in battle formation then u save a bond slot and get the bond attr.
cos bond attr u get if partner is in battler formation or if in bond tab.
