The two best PvE characters in the game right now are:

Mugetsu and Ywach.

He has neither. He has no fury generation outside of self fury gain. BRenji is outstanding for buffing every round, and he would get compounded results if he could get Kirio to do the same ( Easiest way is Mugetsu ).

Ywach fits into the same slot, so you really wouldn't use both, but his buff stacks with pretty much everything in the game. He has excellent self fury generation, and it is very easy for him to skill every turn with +100% Damage Rate. The way buffs work in this game, he hits harder then everyone else in the entire game, and it isn't all that close.

no mugetsu isn't as good i tested kensei>mugetsu in his formation

My highest I have seen is around 78 to 79 million damage if the combos hit just right.

Hikifune > Berserk Renji > Mugetsu > main > Shinso Gin
