He does nothing for PvE as your assaulters/VG if you are using one, pret ...

I guess you have a point, when in PvP partners die on turn 1 in the majority of cases a defensive assaulter like Mayuri is kind of useless, since he is designed for prolonged battles. I suppose he would be pretty good in a brand new server.
