are there any events that are on the cheaper side for characters?

Ultra Hero and Limited Lease. In Ultra Hero, Van Toshiro, Zabi Renji, Dark Rukia and Assualter Shinji are like 1600. And in Limited lease you can rent them for a day with like 20 gold.

In ultra hero you use points gained from how much gold you top up. 1point=1gold, but you don't spend any of the gold you topped up to get the partners in ultra hero.

In limited lease you use gold to rent/buy the partners. The appeal here is that you can rent a partner that will come at whatever level your main is currently at during the time of your first rental (appeals to higher levels greatly since leveling up a new partner from 1 is a pain). This way also appeals to people that can't spend a bunch of gold at once but can throw some gold at the rental every now then to eventually pay off a partner. It's also a fairly cheap way of testing out a partner you aren't sure you want.

oh that's reassuring that u can pay it offyou can only use coupons? and is that the absolute cheapest? cause I have no idea when that event is.

In both of the events mentioned here you don't use coupons at all. In ultra hero you use points gained from topping up (2000g top up gives 2000 points for spending in the event). In limited lease you just use gold.
