A summary:
Str/Wis = (Wis if main is strategy attack user) for damage and some extra defense.
Agillity = for speed. Which of the two you need more will vary but you will always need both.
Crit = cause damage is never wrong.
HP = yeah quite frankly health is never bad to have.
Break defense = since if you dont have any so will you get blocked all the time (when the enemy take reduced damage and hit you back)
Hit/counter = You are gonna need hit to land a hit if the enemy have some dodge which many higher levels stops investing in since having high hit is a lot easier than having a high dodge. Same you will need counter or you will get critted to death, also remember that a crit from a normal hit gives 100 fury instead of 50. For VG counter is a must for assaulters so does it never hurt.
Thats six now for what I left out
Block = Yeah its good but you are most likely gonna need the stones for your vanguard and quite frankly most will have enough to negate it if you dont have a lot so for assaulters you might as well skip it til later in the game.
Dodge = Quite frankly there is no stone worse for a assaulter to have. All enemies yes ALL will have a greater hit than your dodge. Ryuken Ishida is the single exception since he have a base of 30% dodge, his skill gives him 30 more, his evolution 20 more and lastly his modify 60 more. So he can have 110% dodge without stones and 140% after skills but for most assaulters ignore it.
Fury = Quite frankly unless you can T1 (start with 100 fury) so are the fury stones not worth it. Yes they will make your skill hit harder ONCE after that so is it just wasted space, better go with a stone that gives a permanent boost.
