Yeah, well i might switch one out in my gf's upcoming pc.

Do that then, on resolution you use SLI 980 would be bored. Unless you plan on spending a lot for 4k monitor and trying different things to get each game working in 4k.

I might go for 1440p but not 4k.

1440 is very nice. And works. Unlike 4k. Also doesn't require stupid amount of graphical processing power.
