Bleach is my all time favorite.
One piece is tasteless after the timeskip. It used to be more emotio ...
Hmm. Wall of text incoming.
For me the big three would be in the order of One Piece>>Bleach>>>>Naruto
I love the adventure part of One Piece as well as the plot and the characters. After timeskip it did struggle a bit with Fishman Island being the disaster it was, but regardless it is great. Dressrosa, even though it was extremely long, was very good and we got a lot of information. We also get a shit ton of information on Zou. I just realized I was referring to the manga though so since this is about Anime, after timeskip I would agree that One Piece has gone downhill. I would recommend reading the manga though.
On Death Note I agree that Near and Melo were shitty and it should have ended with L. I would also recommend reading the book "Death Note: Another Note". It's a case L works on before the main plot, involing BB, a child like L, M and N. It was a very good read.
Akame ga kill was good for me, the ending was maybe too extreme but since they decided to only do one season it was great.
Fairy tail is trash and isn't even trying to hide it.
Dragonball Super is decent. The first two arcs are basically the movies with slight changes and shit animation. The last arc is decently animated and the newest episodes are very hype. Definetely recommend watching the current arc.
One Punch Man is awesome on every level. I would recommend reading the manga(s).
As a side note I would recommend Mob Psycho 100%. It's a manga by the same author of OPM and an anime will be released soon that looks pretty cool.
Gurren Lagann... I completely disagree with you here. Firstly please edit your post to avoid spoiling others. Indeed that was a sad moment but it definitely did not go to shit after that. It was an important incident for Simon's growth and character development. After Simon accepts it and moves on he becomes extremely manly and awesome. Also the plot is very interesting and has many twists. I would definitely recommend you give it another chance. On the second part of it shit hits the fan... You can also watch the movies if you prefer, they miss some details but some major fights are different/more epic.
Now for my suggestions and other general comments.
Mainstream anime are always fun though a bit cringey at times, examples: Attack On Titan, Sword Art Online.
The Fate series is pretty good and action packed, I would recommend watching Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works.
Many mentioned Code Geass. I would recommend it but tbh it is a bit overrated. If you sit and think you will realise that most plans are asspulls. Also one of the dumbest things happens, when it really really should not, considering the main character is supposed to be a genius (Euphy scene).
A similar anime is Guilty Crown, definitely recommend it.
Ragnos mentioned Steins;Gate. I completely agree with him, it is great. Also a new series will come out "soon" named Steins;Gate Zero. A prequel OVA for it has already been released. Oh and play the game for the full experience, Ragnos has posted it on Offtopic Discussion I think.
I would also recommend Durarara!! and Baccano!. Both are very interesting and have some of the best characters.
Ushio and Tora is another pretty interesting anime. Many concepts from Bleach are "inspired" from its manga if I'm not mistaken (Tsukisima? That memory altering guy from fullbringers).
If you like One Piece, Bleach and Naruto you will also probably like HunterxHunter and Katekyo Hitman Reborn!.
Other great anime are: Parasyte, Gate, Overlord, Ajin, Erased, Kill la Kill, Tokyo Ghoul and Aldnoah Zero.
Oh, Neon Genesis Evangelion is pretty cool too, 3deep5u etc. The action is fine though but it does come off as a little pretentious. Also the animation could be a bit off-putting for some, but it's a good/must watch.
My all time favourite anime is probably Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. If anyone has not seen it, go and watch it now. It is magnificent. Try to endure the unfunny humour though.
If you would like to watch something coming out this season, I recommend: Boku no Hero Academia, Kiznaiver, Re Zero and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.
Sorry for the large post.
