how do i join a guild?

You can see the Guild icon on the lower right of your screen this feature is unlock in when you reach level 26 then click it to show you a list of Guilds that you want to apply.

click on zanpakto on the botom of the screan and then click relese cultivation on the zapakto that you wan`t to use.

modification is just what it sounds like, it allows you to modify your partners.

During the fights on modification you can get characters fragments, you can buy gikongan and use it to modify your partners. Basically you can enhance some stats. Like 5% more HP, or 10% more attack. And the number ot times you can modify your partners is given by the stars below them. I think blue characters can only be modified 3 times

You mean the Zanpakutou or the character? For the Zanpakutou you need to be at least 9th Division Captain (you can get there with prestige) and your Reiatsu must be at least lvl35.

As for the character you need to complete stages in Hueco Mundo until you get Hueco Munco Coin as a reward. With 180 HMC you can buy 5 Zabimaru Renji fragments. And you need 70 in order to get him. And 50 purple reishi.
