Equipping your characters in your formation with the right stones would really help you increase your BP.
But what you should focus more in order to be competitive in the game is 1.)Fortifying your gears to the max as much as possible 2.)Recruiting better partners  & 3.)Reiatsu.

You just have to defeat the Hollow in your Home and get the bikini reward and then upgrade your girlfriend. Each girlfriend need a different amount of bikinis to upgrade.
