This is really doubtful. We just got Senjumaru's shop and devs probably hope that tons of people will buy now ultimate sets (and they probably succeeded in this). So there is no point for them in giving us free gears since it can decrease their income.

I seriously doubt it would decrease their income in any noticable way especially if they would give away lvl 100 ultimate set like last year. You get 5 points per piece if you forge it which is nothing. But I am curious if we get something nice this year or they will screw us and we get worse stuff than last year

Maybe for you it's nothing but for many players it is chance of getting new, quite cheap, OP set I don't think that many will start buying sets to have more asauchi but many would like to get cyclone set just to exchange it for aquaria set and upgrade it with the time. And i agree that it won't be some huge decrease because sets never were main source of income but people who were normally against spending money on anything exept new partners and zans may now consider buying some set and even the one on lvl 100 will give some nice profit for devs. But giving it for free can prevent people from buying them since they already have one( can as well motivate to buying another one but it is rather minority). Their earning won't change really much but i guess that they prefer to have little extra money than no extra money but happy customers(it seems that they don't know that sometimes giving your client something for free just to make him happy and encourage to further purchases is good decision).

Its only 1 set why not don't remember them giving away any other free sets so that would be 1lv100 set a year don't see the harm. I'l give it50% odds
