Apparently my password has been changed without my consent. How can I change it back or change it completely?

hi, Do you hold multiple accounts? if you can log in form, i guess your password is correct at present.
if you have forget password of another account, please log out Forum at first, click Forget password at game page. you will be directed to a new page which only ask you to fill in "User name" and "Email"
