Mods are usually in some sort of direct contact with at least someone who has direct contact  with the devs, but tbh i really don't know. They might've just sent pm's to all staff about it or something lel.

Usually mods in these kidns of games use a chinese messaging service called WeChat.
There they would have a group for staff / mods and they could give updates there.

Yeah we have CM on our platform ( come from france ) but they didn't tell us about this, so if it's true ... wtf xD
They work for merge many platform but they don't save the database ? they can not be that stupid
