OP Dodge?

Occasionally enemies seem to gain a dodge ability where they are never hurt by my attacks, except when they are hit by the Zanpakuto or have their moves deflected. This is Extremely annoying when it is combined with the fact that the battle will not end until a number of rounds has passed. Meaning I have to wait 20 rounds watching my team get beat up but not destroyed as I happen to be too strong.

what level are u? try using 1st skill, if that doesn't work, then it's probably not dodge but invincibility

We cannot know without a battle report (if you fought in PvP).
Against NPCs, you probably didn't pay attention to opponents' skills/passives.
