I agree, if I had yet to buy either I'd buy Kensei for sure. Unfortunate.

Not for me, I was bad back in the day, so even with only a CHANCE at combo'ing, making assaulters useless was pretty attractive to me. Obviously now if I had the choice I'd have spent the 10k gold on something else, but what can you do. Hindsight 20/20.
