Shunsui and Sui-Feng will both have a 10% speed halo mod to all allies just like Oetsu.
Still tho, mods aren't getting changed but just adding new, 2 new ones for the gold people. Those mods aren't going to be game-changing when compared to current event partners, unless those mods come with a 80% stat boost to agility or something then alrightyo have the debate about who's faster!
But still won't be using a Sui-Feng and Shunsui in any new team so no point in comparing them to current in-use partners:
Talent isn't getting changed as far as i know, so still no significant boost
Bonds aren't either
Skills stay the same
Clearly just base and growth rates. Now unless those base stats get to the thousands then sure, a big deal and unfair in that way I guess, but in no way are these people going to outspeed a Hiki with same stuff on each of them etc.
so fook me people are stooped and are just overreacting to a tavern upgrade, all that is happening is they are being boosted up to catch up, not be left behind in the dust, especially with UBP giving out event partners (good ones) so far, so tavern was literally becoming useless and this will simply boost them up

You can outspeed a Hikifune with enough speed halos, but basically, anybody could get these halos with enough time.
The thing about low VIPs and f2p is that they won't have the same level of equipment as a high VIP, so even if the Tavern characters were on par with the better event partners, it wouldn't mean a thing.

Also don't forget, Event partners aren't just op because of growth rates, but the skill is what matters. Tavern partners will have the exactly same skills as before

Well at least with Shunsui, he gets a semi interesting exclusive skill, and he can get it a lot sooner than event partners can. That's not to say he's the cat's bananas of partners, but he's pretty good for a Tavern partner.
