We need either one of two things:
1. Turn character mods and/or optional skill bonuses on/off
2. The ability to choose higher difficulty level enemies in certain challenges
For example, I cannot pass Kugo Ginjo's bond test for the Sternritter Uryu bonus because even without equips/hogyku/etc. his additional stat bonuses from evolution, mods, etc. place his defense higher than the strongest monster on the opposing team, none of those extra options can be disabled and the bond opponents can't even scratch him. Much less get him below 25% health needed. We need to be able to decrease our partner's strength somehow, otherwise it isn't fair that people may not be able to pass a challenge from making their character strong (which is the point of the game).
This is without zanpaktou, hogykou, hogu, or anything equipped. My best vanguard is prevented from gaining an additional 30% max HP because of weak enemies.
