supporters SHOULD be controlling, that i agree with
but fact is, they can ohko entire teams, especially sejumaru

and the halo affects all supports regardless of which zanpakuto is used
so if the player is forced to switch to assaulters for speed, katen is as good as any others

Katen doesn't have speed increase effects, other Zanpakutos do.
If you have a tanky team you can still survive Katen and have 2 people skill before the 2nd partner skills from the Katen team.
